Amidst the battle to combat the coronavirus crisis, preventative measures including quarantine and social distancing have become commonplace globally. These measures are science-based and aim to reduce the spread of the virus such that healthcare systems are better able to cope with the surge in demand.
Although these measures are life-saving, studies show that they can pose significant mental health challenges, acording to The Lancet, with boredom and frustration featuring among the most commonly reported negative psychological effects.
